Professional regulation

The inquiry highlighted the importance of effective professional regulation in ensuring patient safety.

It emphasised the need for professional regulators to work closely with each other and with system regulators.

Both professional and system regulators recognise the importance of sharing information, aligning processes and working together to improve and are putting in place measures to ensure the necessary changes take place.
